Various rhythms lurk in the everyday.
Subtleties hidden in the landscape.
Kita Kouhei, a musician and percussionist based in Kyoto,
and Yotukura Yukiihiko, a folk performing arts enthusiast, musician, and sound artist based in Ishinomaki.
Percussion, guitar, array mbira, analog synth, Shinobue flute, and environmental sounds.
Using Array Mbira: the mysterious Instrument evolving the African Mbira to enable chord playing, string instruments, the shinobue flute that is the very essence of folk performing arts, and analog synths, they paint a mysterious landscape that seems both ordinary and extraordinary.
The first release, Resonance #1, is a series of works that combine the pure resonance of the two artists' ambience, without any themes or concepts.
